FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: There are other CKD sites available on the Internet. How is the information in your course any different?

A: Although the material found on other sites may offer useful information, what makes our CKD course different from most is the fact that our data has been meticulously scrutinized, is supported by decades of scientific research and is backed by veterinarians who recognize the value of integrative medicine. There are plenty of books and CKD online sites out there that offer nothing more than the standard interventions and drug-based recommendations with little to no information on holistic methods. Likewise, we have found that most alternative pet sources provide advice that may cause more damage than good. Rather than throwing the kitten or puppy out with the bathwater, it is far more prudent to employ integrative strategies that produce favorable results.

Q: My veterinarian said that the information found on sites like yours aren’t medically proven. Is that true?

A: The material offered on our website provides factual data that is backed by veterinary testimony and decades of scientific research from peer-reviewed journals. Whenever we discuss treatments that are unproven, we clearly indicate so. This is what makes our site unique. The statement, “sites like yours”, has no merit, especially by those who know little to nothing about the Feline-Canine CKD Wellness Center.

Q: My veterinarian said that the drugs offered for my CKD pet are safe.

A: As far as drug safety is concerned, we acknowledge that some conditions and emergencies may warrant their use. However, it has been statistically proven that iatrogenic (medically caused) fatalities are among the most frequent causes of death. Keep in mind, veterinary practices earn a sizeable percentage of their profits from their pharmaceuticals. And, like other practitioners, some of these individuals stop learning the moment they establish their practice. Fortunately, there are many veterinarians who keep up with the latest research and support the data in this course. In fact, most of its information was obtained from veterinary sources.

Are you veterinarians?

A:No. Creed is a military medic whose background is in health science. Dr. Divingian is a medical physician whose specialty is in internal medicine. We have joined forces as research scientists to investigate chronic kidney disease and its related conditions. Although we have researched the many complications of CKD, we are not vet-trained and, therefore, recommend that you seek veterinary counsel whenever possible.

Q: Do you offer personal consultations?

A: No. We are not licensed veterinarians and are therefore unable to legally offer personal consultations. Please refer to our disclaimer.

Q: Dogs and cats are physiologically different from each other and should not be given umbrella treatments. Does your material address such differences?

A: Yes. Although some treatments apply to both dogs and cats, other treatments do not. Throughout the course, we ensure that such differences are explained.

Q:Do you offer the course in other languages?

A: Not yet. At present, we offer this course exclusively in the English language. In time, the material will be available in multiple languages. We recommend that you periodically visit our website, The Feline-Canine CKD Wellness Center, or sign up for email notifications to get the latest updates.

Q: Is your course available in bookstores, Amazon, or other sources?

A: Currently, our course, The Complete Guide to Chronic Kidney Disease in Cats and Dogs: Integrative Strategies to Outmaneuver the CKD Threat, is only available on this site. However, plans are underway for a published version. The projected release date of the eBook is before the end of 2020. The print version will soon follow and will be available from Amazon.com. An Audible version is also under consideration. Once the books are released, every sale will contribute a portion of the proceeds to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). Thus, every person who purchases the books will know that their contributions will make a difference for companion animals across the nation.

Q: Do you accept donations?

A: Yes, please. Currently, the extent of our CKD service is information-based (although plans are underway to offer additional pet-wellness products). We are devoted to ongoing research and development of treatments, products, and resources aimed at uncovering the safest and most effective solutions for cats and dogs afflicted with this condition. Thus, our ultimate CKD-related goal is to formulate a supplement designed to provide targeted nutritional support with renal-protective properties. This mission will take both time and money. With your help, together, we can make a difference in the battle against chronic kidney disease.
